I went down to

USD both Monday and Tuesday.  I was supposed to go down for the Senior Toast to volunteer as an alum, showed up on Monday and found out I had date swapped.  Oops.  I swear Anthony has been stealing my brainwaves!  But it was actually perfect- I got to visit with old co-workers and best of all go and see Dr. Carlton Floyd, my all time favorite professor and mentor.  He has inspired me to go to graduate school for either my MA/MFA and/or Ph.D.   I was worried about balancing Anthony AND school but I know at least UCSD has childcare and Paul says we can definitely make it work.  I'm taking my GRE on the 27th of this month and my study books will be in tomorrow.  I'm nervous and excited at the same time!  It also means I have to start researching schools and scholarships, and that I get to have a break from paying off my loans, which is always nice.

I met Paul after work.  He was swamped so I went to Marshall's and got absolutely most adorable piece of furniture.  I'm not sure about the actually name of it, but I'm planning on putting it at the edge of our bed once we're in our house and fill it with extra blankets and/or keepsakes.  It's the same color as our headboard and covered in bits of sheet music.  I'm so excited to finally have a home to decorate!  We did dinner at Cheesecake Factory which is always special since that's where we had our first date.  Food was delicious, company was even better!

Tuesday was the ACTUAL toast.  It was so nice to see all the seniors and talk to students again.  It feels like a lifetime ago that I was starting my senior year of college.  Paul met me there once he got off and we headed into Escondido for Pho and Saigon Noodles, the first Vietnamese place we've found that is absolutely MSG free.  It's pretty much the most delicious place ever.  Then we went home and went to bed.

Anthony's been pretty chill lately, not going crazy like he was before for awhile.  Of course I've had pretty much no sugar (other than a cookie this morning which was necessary) and caffeine.  I refuse to be one of those freak out first time momma's so it's not worrying me.  A couple kicks a day and I know he's good. :)
