31 Days To Make A House A Home: Day 14: Planning Meals & Repurposing

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Nothing says home like a hot, home cooked meal.  I've been inspired by Randi's weekly menu planning and have decided to join in.  Not only will this help me stay organized, but it will keep my husband from asking me every.single.day if we have dinner plans.  Here's what I did:

I took one of the extremely ugly cabinet covers that I saved from our house and removed the back.  I took out the plastic bottle thing so that I could wrap it in the nifty whiteboard contact paper I picked up on clearance from home depot ages ago.

I used a paint sample I had chilling in a closet to paint the frame.  I let it dry, put it all back together, and voila!

Win :)

I need to get a whiteboard marker, but meals for this week are as follows:

Monday: Leftovers
Tuesday: Chicken and rice
Wednesday: Potstickers
Thursday: Split pea soup
Friday: Pasta with Marinara
Saturday: Leftovers
Sunday: Pork chops and rice

I also finished organizing the closet today, but my phone has decided it doesn't like me so I'll have to post the picture tomorrow.

Good night!

  2. This is great. We have a white board for our monthly calender but I am so lazy with menu planning until we're pretty much out of food haha. Great system.
