31 Days To Make A House A Home: Day 21: Putting Baby In the Corner Part 1

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I've been dreading this post since I started this series.  I've been dreading this task since we let the room bet as bad as it is.  This is what our nursery looks like at this moment:

Yeah.  That's real life.  I'm so embarrassed on how awful that room has be come.  Because we're co-sleeping we've had no use for the baby's room besides for storage, and let me tell you, store we have.  But no more.  I'd really like Anthony to have a space to play in now that he's getting more independent, and it'd be nice for guests to be able to stay in here.

I started out by just making a pathway through the room.  I can actually walk from one end to the other!  Then I started (note: not finished) going through boxes of random stuff we have in there.  I'm not gonna post a picture yet because, quite honestly, it doesn't look much better.  However, the fact that I can actually walk in the room is a HUGE improvement.  I need to have the room completely cleaned an organized by next weekend, so I plan on doing a reasonable amount each day and I hope to have it all knocked out by Friday!

  2. you know what? you're pretty awesome for putting this all out there. It's easy to brag about some magazine-looking house, but takes some serious moxie to post about how everyone else lives. kudos.

you'll get it done. it'll be amazing.

  3. I appreciate your honesty, but don't be too hard on yourself! Girl, my hubby and I used to be slobs. I don't have any pictures of what it was like back then but I've written about it on my blog.

I'd be so embarrassed if someone walked into our room or the guest room (before kids) because that's where I threw all the stuff from the living room to "clean" it up. If somebody dropped by unexpectedly? Oh boy!

You have a plan and you are making progress, so good for you! You'll have that room ready to go by Friday!
