31 Days To Make A House A Home: Day 29: Pipes & Cider

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After a busy weekend and a long day at work, I came home and did absolutely nothing.  And you know what?  It was glorious.  Anthony and I played and snuggled while I drank apple cider and chai tea.  There were home improvements made, but not by me.  Our pipes have been giving us some trouble- and after several attempts at snaking the drain, we realized that we had to go under the house to fix it.  My dad came to the rescue with some sort of crazy machine that cleared our clog!  Thanks to wonderful father and husband, we are now able to shower again!

And I totally scrubbed the heck out of the bath tub, so I guess that counts as doing something right?

Also, the mulled cider I've been making is the best thing in my life.  It's so ridiculously easy and delicious.  Here's how:

1 bottle of Apple Juice
1/2 of brown sugar
3 tbs of cinnamon
1 tbs of allspice
1 tbs of nutmeg
1 dash of ginger
(optional) 5-10 whole peppercorns to make it spicy

Let it all come to a boil, and enjoy!  Nothing makes a house smell better than apple cider :)

Goodnight!
