Revenge of the Cumulus

This weekend, we are revisiting a prompt we've done before.  We are giving you three words and asking that you add another 33 to them to make a complete 36-word response.  You may use the words in any order you choose.
Our three words are:
remember
rain
rebellion

The rebellion ended with the coming of rain. Silly Cybermen, posed to kill, rusted like grandfather's trucks, reduced to garden statues. Didn't they hear the TinMan crying "Oil! Remember oil!" as they were on their way?

PS- I know cumulus clouds don't really bring on precipitation, but I liked the sound of it better than nimbostratus. And forgive me for my Doctor Who reference, I just couldn't help myself. Thanks for reading!

  1. Nice! I'm not a practicing "whovian", so my take was Oz.

  2. Love this! "Reduced to garden statues" is fantastic - the rebellion is not only over, it's actually insignificant.

  3. Thank you! I debated on whether or not I was going to keep that line-word count and all, but I'm glad I did!

  5. oil! remember oil!

:) anytime something happens to a car I am driving I am paranoid enough to check the oil - doesn't matter WHAT is wrong, check the oil.

unless of course, it is a flat tire. Even *I* know oil can't help that. :)
