Confessional

Bless me, for I have sinned; white lies and selfish thoughts.  When he said he would leave, I held him down beneath the ocean blue until he floated away.  Act of contrition, amen.

  4. it's okay as long as you keep confessing - or just keep it secret from public knowledge

  5. hmmm, a trifecta of confessions, I see: white lies, selfish thoughts, and...whatever that other one was that was slipped in there

  6. Is it meant to repeat like that? Just wondering because it puts you over the 33-word limit. But it's very good regardless. The whole "If I can't have him" etc. is chilling!

  7. Beautiful and tragic prompt! I hope it"s fiction too!

  8. Love it, love it!!! - all you did was help him leave.

The "assistance" to him was slipped into the confession with "I am sorry for these sins and all my sins. I will try to do better. Great loophole. (Tho I suppose the "good and sincere" confession may null and void that - not that I put a lot of credence into what they say anymore.)

Too many words for my Catholic confession, too.

Thank goodness all confessions in the confessional are bound by the priest to never be told. Great story.
